Job description

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Junior Accountant with a strong background in Indian accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have either an Inter CA/CA qualification with 4 years of experience or an M.Com qualification with 10 years of experience. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.

Job requirements

Required Skill Set:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements. Knowledge of taxes like GST and TDS needs to be paramount

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify financial data, and ensure timely payments and collections

  • Reconciliation: Reconcile the balance sheet accounts monthly and present the reconciliation in the prescribed format

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards.  Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns

  • Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information to the auditors. Support Regional and global teams during the Audit of financial statements

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and maintain organized records. Manage accounting transactions and routine activities within the scope of central finance team which includes Intercompany transactions, Fixed assets related transactions, Accruals, Updating FX rates, FS preparation, Flux analysis and other reporting activities

 

Management and leadership skills:

  • Fair knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures and knowledge of IFRS, Ind AS could be added advantage

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like D365 or other similar software

  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

  • Experience with general ledger functions

 

Education/ Background:

  • CA with 4 years of experience, or B.Com/M.Com with 10 years of experience. Additional certification (CA/ACCA/CPA or CMA) is a plus
