Responsibilities:

Support the Regional Legal for the APAC businesses (ANZ, Singapore, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, India).

Duties:

  • Corporate governance, compliance, company secretarial matters. Ensure compliance with corporate authorities and internal company policies & processes. Identify potential compliance risks, including the impact of regulatory changes, the consequences of non-compliance. Manage compliance reporting for the APAC companies.

  • Create, modify, update and implement company policies in line with regulatory requirements and global company standards.

  • Design and implement training programs for employee and company compliance.

  • Design control systems to address cases of violation of internal business policies.

  • Contract review and contract management (sales contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, tender documents).

  • Prepare/update templates, monitor and safe-keep contracts and corporate governance documents.

  • Data fill of reports to submit to stakeholders.

  • Ensures customer, vendor KYCs and checks, reporting, record-keeping, internal control, and compliance management.

 

Job requirements

Qualifications, Key Skills

Successful candidate must have:

  • Law degree or similar qualifications or qualified to practice law.

  • Attention to detail, highly organized, able to work independently.

  • Strong legal analytical, risk identification and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel; Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.

  • Able to work in fast-paced environment and independently prioritize competing deadlines.

  • Good collaboration skills, responsive and able to work within a team. Good attitude to learning.

  • Highest ethical standards.

  • Experience in corporate secretarial, corporate governance & compliance work is a plus.

  • Prior working experience as in-house legal support or in law firm is a plus.
