Marketing Specialist
dss+ is the former consulting business unit of DuPont known as DuPont Sustainable Solutions which became an independent consulting firm in 2019 after its separation from DuPont. dss+ in China is a vibrant team of highly specialized consultants in safety and operational excellence and focused on chemicals, petrochemical, mining and metals, oil and gas, unitalities and pharmaceutical industries. To support business growth, we have business development team members and a small marketing team consisting of a manager and an intern. The marketing team works as part of the Asia Pacific team, and regularly connects with global and other region counterparts to support the business.
What will you do?
As a Marketing Specialist, you will take direction from the China Marketing Leader and work closely with the business development and consulting business teams to implement the marketing plan for China. The plan is one of growth: build the dss+ brand and generate qualified leads.
Some specific aspects of the role include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Collateral Development
Help develop content, both digital and print: whitepapers, adapt/write product brochures and work with designers to completion, create and manage design and delivery of posters and other promotional materials by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure content professionalism and communication effectiveness.
Maintain the content library and ensure sales teams are efficiently contributing to and utilizing these resources.
Digital Marketing & Advertising
Execute integrated online/offline campaigns, including digital advertising and social media promotions to grow our client base and position our service and product offerings in the market.
Manage website content and look and feel, and other corporate channels like WeChat.
Liaise with global web and digital team for placement of China content on various online channels.
Monitor global assets for applicability and make amendments for them to be used in China
Monitor and report on campaign performance and optimization strategies.
Event Planning & Execution
Oversee end-to-end event management, including event selection, vendor negotiation, annual budget planning & control, on-site execution, and performance evaluation.
Manage our presence at major sponsored events and conferences in the region from all elements – sponsorship contract management and inclusions, material to be used, promotion elements in the lead-up and post event, manage our people’s roles, how we will get leads, etc
Organize DSS-hosted customer events – venue management, logistics, agenda flow, best practice lead-up and follow-up, on-the-ground management
Track and maximize ROI from events including using events to promote dss+ outside of the event itself, and using assets smartly for other events
Collaborate with the team to generate, nurture, and convert market/sales leads.
Branding Marketing
Understand how PR can be effective in supporting our brand in the market, and make connections between PR and marketing efforts across the region to execute campaigns and joint marketing plans.
SEO and AI search optimization
Coordinate resources to ensure seamless execution and maximize the impact of branding initiatives.
Performance Tracking
Monitor and analyze performance indicators (KPIs) such as MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and campaign ROI.
Present regular performance reports, highlighting successes, learnings, and recommendations for future investment
Who are you?
5+ years marketing experience, preferably in a business-to-business environment.
Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal in both Chinese and English
Be well-versed in digital and online tools as a key component of the marketing mix.
Be detail-orientated, organized and a natural problem-solver; you can demonstrate initiative.
Be able to collaborate productively and positively with a team of highly capable consultants, with competing priorities.
Enjoy working in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
