What will you do?
This is a business development role for all the offerings of dss+ namely, Operations Risk Management, Operations Excellence and Sustainability, with our key industries.
The Manager will contribute to the development of new clients and markets, by fostering networks, building a pipeline of opportunities, arranging client meetings (especially targeting VP and executive levels in target clients) and by participating in dss+ brand awareness and marketing activities.
The Manager will be the main client interface from the identification of the potential opportunity, though acquisition of a project to the handover to the delivery leads. During solution design on the opportunity, the Manager will work with other members of the opportunity team to design a solution for the client that achieves their desired outcomes whilst leveraging dss+ methodologies and applying innovative thinking. During execution of large or strategic projects, the Manager will maintain involvement through to realisation of the benefits for the client, in order to sustain client relationships and the focus on desired outcomes, and to assist with identifying and responding to follow-on needs of the client.
The Manager must have excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills coupled with strong expertise and proven experience in the focus industry and the applications of the offering of dss+. They will be a great listener, who enjoys meeting prospective clients to understand their challenges, opportunities and motives, and who excels in stakeholder engagement and client relationships.
He or she must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and must be driven to produce improvement initiatives both internally and with clients. Excellent communication and client management skills are imperative to maintain positive client relations and high client satisfaction levels.
Roles & Responsibility:
The primary focus of this role would be on the following:
Business Growth & Strategy
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients.
Support the development and execution of dss+ brand awareness and marketing plans.
Lead market research and competitive analysis to inform decision-making.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
Understand client needs and provide tailored consulting solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and strategic recommendations.
Sales & Pipeline Management
Develop proposals, pitches, and presentations to win new business.
Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent lead generation and conversion.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align business development efforts.
Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine service offerings.
Operational Oversight
Track key performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial targets for business development initiatives.
Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging markets, and best practices.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Contribute to content creation, such as whitepapers, blogs, or speaking engagements.
Play an integral role as part of DSS+ account teams to prospect for new clients and growing existing clients, by supporting DSS+ Leadership to proactively identify business leads and targets, build a strong pipeline, and progress opportunities along the pipeline to generate sales
Provide domain expertise as part of proposal development and support other team members (e.g. Principal / Director) in meetings and presentations with clients to actively contribute to revenue
Play an integral role in drafting and presenting proposals to drive execution of a project
Contribute to defining scope of work, objectives, deliverables, and time frames to drive execution of a project
Leadership
Living and breathing the DSS+ Core Values and Mission Critical Behaviors, and coaching others to do the same
Overseeing opportunity team’s performance and quality of delivery, offering guidance and advice where needed and providing necessary feedback to the team (as an instrumental part of their development) and to management as appropriate
Offering guidance and support to the team - especially junior resources, regarding best practices in project management, execution of deliverables and interactions with clients
Job requirements
Who are you?
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major (i.e. management or finance) or engineering from institute of repute
At least 8 years of associated industry / technical and client facing experience / exposure
Prior experience in established consulting firms
Technical knowledge and expertise in relevant field of experience is preferred
Time Management / Prioritization Skills
Stakeholder engagement and relationship management
Business Development
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Thai
Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Advanced Excel, Access) and Project management software (Asana, JIRA, Confluence, or similar)
