Manager — Pharma & Healthcare Practice (Shanghai or Beijing)

This role sits primarily within our newly established Pharma & Healthcare practice and can be based in Shanghai or Beijing, with travel to client sites expected.

What You Will Do 

As a Manager, predominantly within the Pharma & Healthcare practice, you will lead projects and advise senior leaders on improving operational performance (e.g., Operational Excellence, Safety, Innovation). In this role, you will: 

Lead and Deliver Impact 

• Manage teams of consultants and subject matter experts to analyse client challenges, identify root causes, and design and implement practical solutions 

• Engage directly with client stakeholders to understand pain points and develop tailored, effective interventions 

• Oversee end‑to‑end project delivery, from scoping to execution, ensuring high‑quality outcomes and strong client relationships 

Develop People and Capability 

• Build and manage your team’s work plans, ensuring efficient and effective delivery 

• Coach and develop consultants, helping them enhance their capabilities and deliver greater value to clients 

Who You Are 

You are an experienced management consultant who can turn strategy into action. You bring: 

• 10+ years of consulting experience, ideally with exposure to operations and the Pharma/Healthcare industry (inhouse industry experience would be highly beneficial)

• Proven ability to lead diverse, remote teams and guide them toward achieving client and project goals 

• Experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects from inception to completion 

• Deep industry or functional expertise that you can leverage to influence clients and shape thought leadership 

• Fluency in Mandarin and English 

• Excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
