Job description
Introduction to dss+ Infrata
Infrata is a globally operating consultancy advising private investors, including industry sponsors, investment funds, banks, and bond investors on demand, commercial, and technical aspects of large and complex transportation and social infrastructure projects.
Infrata has recently been acquired by dss+, enabling us to leverage our combined strengths to deliver even greater service to our clients. This acquisition aligns with dss+'s broader mission to drive sustainable impact, improve risk management, and enhance operational performance across multiple industries. Together, we look forward to a future of innovation, growth, and continued success.
Our infrastructure practice is highly experienced and offers advisory services across a wide range of project types; including transportation (road, rail, ports), social infrastructure, energy transition assets, and broader economic infrastructure. We support clients through technical and commercial due diligence, business plan development, optimisation studies, asset strategy, and regulatory advisory. Our clients include blue-chip infrastructure operators, investors, lenders, and government agencies.
The Role
We are seeking a Managing Consultant to play a pivotal role in both winning work and managing delivery across our infrastructure consulting portfolio. This role requires strong analytical capability, proven project management skills, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams while maintaining close client relationships.
As a Managing Consultant, you will:
Act as a trusted advisor and primary day-to-day contact for clients, representing Infrata/dss+ in the market and building long-term relationships.
Manage and oversee delivery of cross-functional infrastructure advisory projects, ensuring high-quality outputs across technical, commercial, financial, and planning workstreams.
Support business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, participating in pitches, and contributing to account growth.
Lead internal improvement initiatives related to process optimisation, knowledge management, and enhancing team capabilities to meet current and future strategic needs.
Play an active role in the Business Planning cycle, helping set goals, define strategic priorities, and shape the future of the infrastructure practice.
This role is central to Infrata/dss+'s growth ambitions in the Asia-Pacific region and offers strong development potential for individuals who excel in a fast-paced, diverse consulting environment.
Job requirements
Who are you?
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A strong track record of delivery within the infrastructure sector, ideally across technical advisory, commercial due diligence, project development, or asset operations.
Good understanding of infrastructure planning, technical issues, commercial fundamentals, or business plan development, enabling you to manage and challenge multidisciplinary inputs.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting complex material to clients and stakeholders.
Strong relationship-building capability and ease working with senior-level client teams.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring clarity of responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables.
Demonstrated ability or potential to support business development, including opportunity identification and proposal preparation.
A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement, process enhancement, and capability building.
Education & Professional Experience
Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., engineering, economics, transport, planning, sustainability, business, or related fields).
Professional experience in the infrastructure sector, ideally within consulting, operations, investment, or development environments.
Excellent written and spoken English; additional Asian or European languages are an advantage.
Ability to apply technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills to advise technical and non-technical clients.
Job Location
This role is based in Singapore with a hybrid working model. Travel within Asia-Pacific—and occasionally beyond—may be required for client meetings, workshops, and site visits. As projects often involve international stakeholders, occasional flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate global time zones.
Benefits
Infrata/dss+ values professional development and offers accelerated progression for motivated individuals. Benefits include:
Exposure to diverse projects across global geographies.
Opportunities to influence and shape the future of the infrastructure practice.
Flexible working arrangements (hours and location).
Competitive compensation package, performance bonuses, and market-aligned benefits.
