Job description

Are you ready to leverage your digital product expertise to enhance safety in high-risk work environments worldwide? We are seeking a seasoned and driven Product Manager who is passionate about advancing worker safety, boosting dss+ productivity, and defining the next generation of data management solutions for our consultants and clients.

As the Product Manager of the DSS+ platform, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology platform, setting a new standard for how our staff and clients interact with dss+. You will gain deep expertise in our current service and product offerings, as well as an understanding of the needs of our internal consultants and end customers. Your work will be instrumental in optimizing our operations and helping companies globally safeguard their employees in hazardous environments.

Our consultants gather a wealth of data worldwide, presenting an untapped resource of insights and opportunities for efficiency improvements. You will be responsible for designing features and delivering products that unlock this potential for us and our clients globally. The dss+ platform you will oversee, along with the features you develop, will facilitate consistent operations among our globally distributed teams, enable global data sharing between clients, and utilize cutting-edge technologies to draw unique conclusions.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with our in-house team of subject matter experts, data scientists, and both internal and external design and development teams.

Your role will include/require:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: You will be responsible for defining and evangelizing a compelling vision for the dss+ platform that will not only get all of the teams working to deliver it understanding the vision and excited by it, but will also allow you to take the company’s leadership and colleagues in other departments on this exciting journey with you
  • A user/research driven approach: You will never launch your product ideas or decide your priorities based solely on hunches, but rather, you will always be led by, and able to back-up your arguments with, data. This data will include the voice of our users (whether internal or external) as well as quantitative data from other sources. You will have extensive experience of data and user driven product development, ideally in global environments.
  • A demonstrable ability to understand the needs/strategy of dss+ and the needs of the market to ensure that everything you do and the team delivers is aligned with these.
  • Product Design, Development and Execution: You will be experienced leading cross-functional teams, defining product features, leading the outcomes of the UX/product design teams, writing detailed product requirements, and overseeing the successful execution of both data heavy back-end product features and highly intuitive user facing front-end features
  • Ensuring data is at the heart of everything we produce: You will not only be focused on the data that runs throughout the dss+ platform, but also on ensuring that every user facing element of the platform is collecting the data you will need to make your product decisions
  • You will be happy working in partnership with the company’s subject matter experts, technical, data and design teams and others that you will rely on to deliver world class products
  • Data Warehouse, AI, B2B product experience and working knowledge of the challenges of building products based on large datasets from ingestion to usage is going to help significantly with this role. Databricks experience is a differentiator.
  • Working with go to market teams to make sure your vision for the dss+ platform translates into clear messaging to the market and is able to land with the biggest impact possible
  • A strong technical understanding and an ability to communicate with technical and other product team members in detail to lead everyone to deliver the best possible products
  • Leading delivery teams in a truly agile environment - releasing new product increments regularly, testing with customers and iterating to constantly improve
  • Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to gain the respect/buy-in from the data team, your product colleagues and our clients
  • A strong communicator and good listener, able to present ideas coherently leading to achieving a consensus, even where stakeholders are from a diverse range of business areas and seniority
  • A pragmatic and strategic mindset that will ensure that the resources of the company are precisely used to deliver optimum value to our teams and customers while maximizing revenue opportunities for the company
