Why This Role 

This role focuses on delivering high-quality outcomes through deep expertise in operational risk management, safety, and coaching within complex operational environments. 

You will play a key role in leading coaching interventions across distributed teams, applying your knowledge to support leaders and deliver meaningful client impact. 

Your Impact at dss+ 

You will oversee specialist coaching and delivery workstreams within a complex, multi-site client environment, applying your expertise to strengthen leadership capability, improve safety performance, and embed effective operational practices. 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Deliver coaching programmes to managers operating across multiple locations and remote team structures 

• Build a strong understanding of the client’s operational environment prior to programme delivery 

• Contribute to programme design, onboarding, and early-stage planning activities 

• Facilitate coaching sessions, workshops, and leadership interventions to drive behavioural and operational change 

• Apply expertise in safety, operational risk, or operational performance to support client outcomes 

• Engage effectively with stakeholders across geographically dispersed teams 

• Support the embedding of sustainable practices and capability development 

Who You Are 

You bring strong analytical thinking, a curious mindset, and the ability to work effectively in diverse, international environments.  You will have background in safety and operational risk management with experience of coaching operators and leaders within hazardous environments. You will be a freelancer already or looking to set up as a freelancer in the short term.

Experience: 

• Significant experience in operational risk management, safety, or operational excellence 

• Proven experience coaching leaders in complex, distributed environments 

• Industry experience in rail, ports, bulk commodity logistics, or mining 

Capabilities: 

• Strong coaching and facilitation skills 

• Ability to understand complex operational environments quickly 

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills 

Languages: 

• Fluency in Norwegian (mandatory) 

• Strong English 

Mobility: 

• Willingness to travel across Norway
