Why This Role

This is a senior leadership role focused on growing and leading our Power & Utilities business in Latin America.

As a Power and Utilities Industry Lead, you will define and execute the industry growth strategy, strengthen our market position, and expand relationships with leading organisations across the power, energy, and utilities value chain.

You will combine deep industry expertise with a strong operational consulting background to originate, shape, sell, and oversee complex transformation programmes, particularly across safety and operational excellence. You will also be accountable for senior client relationships, delivery quality, team leadership, and the continued development of our capabilities and market offerings.

Your Impact at dss+

You will play a key leadership role in growing our Power & Utilities business and delivering transformational impact for clients in Brazil.

Working closely with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers, you will identify strategic client priorities, originate and convert high-value consulting opportunities, and build long-term partnerships across the industry.

As a senior seller-doer, you will remain actively involved throughout the engagement lifecycle. You will shape solutions, oversee major programmes, deliver critical strategic components, and hold overall accountability for delivery quality, client satisfaction, and measurable impact.

Key Accountabilities

• Define and execute the growth strategy for the Power & Utilities industry in Brazil

• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of consulting opportunities across existing and prospective clients

• Originate, shape, sell, and close complex consulting engagements, particularly across safety, operational excellence, and operational transformation

• Expand strategic accounts by identifying emerging client needs and developing long-term partnerships

• Build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives and senior leaders across the Power & Utilities sector

• Lead senior client discussions, translating operational challenges into compelling transformation opportunities and measurable business value

• Shape client propositions, project scopes, commercial strategies, delivery models, and executive-level proposals

• Oversee large-scale transformation programmes, ensuring strong governance, delivery quality, client satisfaction, and measurable results

• Contribute directly to the most strategic components of client engagements, including problem definition, solution design, executive alignment, and transformation roadmaps

• Anticipate commercial, operational, and delivery risks, ensuring proactive mitigation and effective programme governance

• Lead, coach, and develop high-performing consulting teams, strengthening both industry knowledge and consulting capability

• Work collaboratively with regional and global experts to bring the best of dss+ to clients in Brazil

• Strengthen our Power & Utilities market positioning through thought leadership, industry perspectives, methodologies, and new offerings

Who You Are

You are an established consulting leader with deep knowledge of the Power & Utilities industry and a strong record of growing client relationships, selling complex consulting engagements, and leading transformational programmes.

You combine business development ambition with delivery discipline. You are comfortable moving from C-suite discussions and business development to solution design, project oversight, and strategic delivery. You are recognised by clients and colleagues as a credible industry expert, trusted advisor, and people leader.

Experience

• Significant experience in operational consulting, with a demonstrated focus on the Power & Utilities industry

• Consulting background is mandatory

• Deep understanding of the Brazilian Power & Utilities market, its key participants, operating models, regulatory context, and strategic priorities

• Proven track record of originating, selling, and closing complex consulting engagements within the industry

• Demonstrated success expanding existing accounts and building long-term relationships with senior executives

• Experience leading large-scale operational or organisational transformation programmes

• Strong experience in safety transformation, operational excellence, or related operational performance areas

• Experience overseeing consulting delivery and remaining actively involved in critical strategic project components

• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing consulting teams

• Established network within the Brazilian power, energy, or utilities market is highly desirable

• Strong commercial and strategic capability, with the ability to build markets, accounts, and sustainable pipelines

• Deep industry expertise and the credibility to advise senior executives on complex Power & Utilities challenges

• Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ambition and resilience to grow a strategic industry portfolio

• Strong focus on client impact, delivery excellence, and measurable results

Education & Languages

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline

• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is beneficial

• Fluency in Portuguese and English is required

• Spanish is beneficial

Mobility

• Based in or able to work from the São Paulo region

• Willingness to travel frequently across Brazil and, when required, wider Latin America
