Job description
Principal – Energy | Indonesia
About dss+
At dss+, you don’t just deliver projects—you help save lives, improve performance, and build a more sustainable future.
We are a purpose-led global consultancy partnering with organisations in high-risk and asset-intensive industries to solve complex operational challenges across safety, operational excellence, and sustainability.
With a heritage rooted in DuPont’s industrial operations, we combine deep expertise, practical problem-solving, and digital innovation to deliver measurable and lasting impact for our clients.
Why This Role
This is a senior leadership role focused on growing our Energy business and delivering high-impact outcomes for clients across Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asia region.
You will lead strategic client engagements, drive business development, and shape our market presence within the Energy sector.
Industry – Oil, Gas & Energy
The Oil, Gas & Energy sector is undergoing significant transformation as it balances growing demand with the transition to lower-carbon energy systems.
At dss+, we support clients to improve safety, optimise performance, and accelerate sustainability strategies.
Your Impact
You will play a key leadership role in growing our business and delivering transformational impact for clients.
Drive business development and expand strategic client relationships
Lead large-scale consulting engagements and ensure delivery quality
Build and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities
Engage senior stakeholders and executive leadership
Lead and develop consulting teams
What will you do?
As Principal, you will support the growth of dss+ in Indonesia through business development across heavy infrastructure and energy. Operating as Account Executive, you will own end-to-end strategic client relationships— shaping account strategy, building executive relationships across leading Indonesian energy groups, their sub-holdings and subsidiaries, and MNCs operating in Indonesia, while orchestrating dss+ capabilities to deliver measurable impact on safety, operational excellence and sustainability.
You will grow a profitable account, lead cross-team initiatives, develop dss+ talent, and build the firm's brand across the sector.
More specifically, you would:
Own the multi-year account plan — stakeholder mapping and pipeline across operational risk, asset performance, energy transition and capability building
Serve as trusted advisor to senior executives (Directors, EVPs, SVPs, VPs) across the group
Lead execution of dss+'s Indonesia strategy with your account(s)
Lead engagement teams and oversee delivery quality across all engagements
Coach client leaders through improvement and transformation programmes
Mentor and develop junior colleagues and the extended leadership team
Set the standard for conduct and leadership, and live the Mission Critical Behaviours
Job requirements

A proven track record managing a major Indonesian account(s), with credibility across Indonesian corporate and operational environments
Deep knowledge of Indonesia's oil & gas value chain and regulators (SKK Migas, BPH Migas, ESDM)
Experience in consulting or consultative business development involving complex, high-value engagements with senior executive stakeholders
An established network across leading Indonesian energy groups and Indonesia’s broader energy ecosystem
Experience leading commercial teams; technical expertise in a relevant field preferred
Strategic planning and commercial acumen, with strong C-suite and board-level stakeholder engagement
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesian and English is essential for this role.
