The Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Resource Manager to join our team. The Resource Manager is responsible for managing all staffing opportunities and needs in partnership with the project managers, talent acquisition, and firm executives while maintaining profitability and high utilization across the firm. The Resource Manager will also play a key role in the workforce planning process to maintain appropriate headcount levels and skillsets across the firm as it matches to the demand and financial plan.

Responsibilities will include…

  1. Resource Allocation & Planning:

  • Oversee and manage the allocation of resources (FSE & ICDR) to various projects and departments based on project needs and priority.

  • Develop and maintain a resource plan, ensuring that resources are efficiently and effectively utilized across all projects.

  • Monitor resource availability and adjust resource allocation based on project timelines, scope, and requirements.

2. Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project managers and department heads to determine resource needs for upcoming projects.

  • Coordinate with team leads to ensure that the right skill sets are available for each project and that deadlines are met.

  • Resolve any resource conflicts or issues that arise throughout the course of a project.

  • Supporting ad hoc projects/initiatives as needed

3. Resource Forecasting:

  • Anticipate resource requirements and help in long-term planning to meet project goals.

  • Maintain a pipeline of available resources and forecast resource needs for future initiatives.

4. Tracking & Reporting:

  • Track resource usage and chargeability, providing regular reports to senior management on the status of resource utilization and capacity.

  • Identify any areas of underutilization or overutilization, and work with managers to take corrective action.

5. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for improving resource management processes and implement best practices.

  • Maintain and update resource management tools, databases, and templates.

6. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to understand project requirements and constraints.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners, if applicable, to secure additional resources when necessary.

  • Coordinate with Global Resource Management/Project Controllers to discuss availability, chargeability and current initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 7-10 years of experience in resource management, project management, or a related field.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Proficient in Strong proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & PowerBI).

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
