Why This Role

This role sits at the centre of delivering large scale transformation programmes while driving growth across our ANZ East business.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead high-impact operational excellence and transformation engagements with clients across industrial manufacturing, mining & metals, F&B, FMCG and energy sectors. You will combine deep operational expertise with strong commercial capability, owning client relationships, expanding accounts, and contributing directly to revenue growth.

This role is suited to an experienced consulting leader who brings a strong network, established client relationships, and a proven ability to win and deliver work.

Your Impact at dss+

You will lead transformation programmes and play a key role in growing dss+’s presence across Australia’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead large, complex operational excellence and transformation engagements, delivering measurable improvements in performance, cost, and productivity.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, building long-term strategic relationships.

• Drive business development, including originating opportunities, shaping solutions, and closing deals.

• Leverage and grow an existing network / book of clients, contributing directly to revenue and pipeline growth.

• Identify operational challenges and design practical, implementable improvement initiatives across the value chain.

• Oversee delivery quality, ensuring strong outcomes and repeat business.

• Apply structured programme management and PMO disciplines across multi-workstream engagements.

• Lead and develop consulting teams, building capability and high performing delivery teams.

• Contribute to thought leadership and development of dss+ operational excellence offerings.

Who You Are

You are a commercially minded consulting leader with strong operational expertise and a proven track record in both delivery and business development. You are comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and driving results in complex environments.

Experience

• Extensive experience in management consulting or a combination of consulting and industry leadership roles.

• Proven track record delivering operational excellence, transformation, or performance improvement programmes.

• Strong experience in one or more of the following sectors:

- Manufacturing

- Mining & Metals / Steel

- Energy

- FMCG / Consumer Products

• Demonstrated success in business development, including originating and closing consulting engagements.

• Established client network / book of clients within relevant industries.

• Experience leading large, complex engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships.

Capabilities

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue and grow accounts.

• Proven leadership capability, including leading multidisciplinary teams.

• Advanced programme and project management skills, including governance and execution oversight.

• Strong analytical and structured problem solving capability.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage at C-suite level.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands on delivery.

Education & Languages

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

• MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous.

Mobility

• Willingness to travel across Australia as required.
