Job description

Allow us to introduce ourselves.

At dss+, we are not just your average global operations consulting firm.  We are a Purpose-driven company that exists to save lives and create a sustainable future – for our clients, employees and communities. In pursuit of this Purpose, we put people at the centre of everything we do, and we are a consultancy with heart.

dss+ services fall into three core areas—operational risk management, operational excellence and sustainability—each bolstered by learning, development and culture change solutions and digital technologies. Teams around the globe work with clients in metals and mining, chemicals, oil and gas, power and utilities, agriculture, food and beverage, industrial and manufacturing, and private equity.

Companies come to us because they want to bring about lasting change that makes them safer, more dynamic and more productive places to work. They trust us because we have real life experience of the situations they face, we help them implement and operationalize their solutions and we are passionate about what we do.  We zero in on what matters: protecting and improving lives, operations and assets.

As we continue to grow our presence and impact globally, we are looking to appoint a Tax Analyst with a strong background in tax accounting, financial analysis, and data management.

Does this sound like you?

The Tax Analyst will have advanced analytical skills, experience in tax accounting, transfer pricing and the ability to translate complex tax and financial data into actionable insights. This role will support the tax function in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a great opportunity to develop your career focus in Tax accounting working on a global basis.

Key responsibilities will include;

Tax Accounting & Compliance

·       Prepare and review tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and related disclosures under applicable accounting standards.

·       Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns, VAT returns and support statutory compliance requirements.

·       Good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards is preferred

Financial & Data Analysis

·       Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, tax data, and key performance indicators to identify trends and risks.

·       Support forecasting, budgeting, and tax reporting processes by providing accurate data-driven insights.

·       Develop and maintain tax models and working papers with large data sets.

Transfer Pricing

·       Assist in preparing and reviewing transfer pricing calculations, intercompany margin analyses, and benchmarking studies.

·       Collaborate with finance and business teams to monitor and validate intercompany transactions.

Cross-functional Support

·       Partner with finance, HR and business operations teams to gather data and ensure alignment of tax positions.

·       Assist with internal and external audits, providing relevant tax and financial information.

·       Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and efficiency in tax reporting.

Let's see where our shared vision leads.

We have a strong growth trajectory and a global footprint, which means unprecedented opportunity for the people on our teams to advance their career.

As a Global Company, our professionals have the possibility to contribute to grow with the company. Every employee can influence and impact our company, and we value innovators and entrepreneurs.

Beyond that, be yourself. At dss+, we embrace and celebrate diversity. Above all, we are an inclusive culture in which everyone contributes and has the chance to develop their talents further.
